Advancement
Please remember that if you need a Scoutmaster conference or Board of Review you must email the Scoutmaster (Steve Hentz) and Advancement Chair (Luke Jahn) to request the meeting. Also remember that you must include your parents when you send the email (either in the TO section, or the CC section) so they are aware that you’re asking for the meeting.

Troop Policy:

  • Scoutmaster conferences at least 3 weeks before Court of Honor
  • Boards of Review at least 2 weeks before Court of Honor
  • Request made via email, to include parents
  • Give enough time to make sure Adult Leaders are available

Please note: when a Scout earns a rank or badge, they have earned it on that day even if they don’t receive the patch and card until the next Court of Honor.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with over 4 million youth members in its age-related divisions. Boy Scouts is designed for boys starting at age 11 to 12. Since its founding in 1910 as part of the international Scout Movement, more than 110 million Americans have been members of the BSA.

The BSA seeks to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. For younger members, the Scout method is used to inculcate typical Scouting values such as honesty, good citizenship, and outdoor skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics and hiking.
